Moulding pipes and tubes moulds. - Cement pipes having sockets are formed in moulds comprising semicylindrical shells a, a<1>, Figs. 14 and 15, having upper socketforming portions az, a<3> and strengthening- flanges c, c<1> adapted to be secured together by screw clamps f. The lower ends of the shells are fitted with ring portions b to form reduced ends on the pipes. A mandrel g, formed of an open sheet-iron tube having overlapping ends and expansible or contractible by nuts i, is supported centrally by means of a bottom plate k having an annular portion k<1> to fit between the mould and mandrel and by a socket member l having claws l<3> to engage over the portions a<2>, a<3> of the shells. The plate k is furnished with eyes adapted to be engaged by supporting-hooks e<1> on the shells. The mould is supported by a cradle m having bent shoes m<1> upon which the mould may be rocked to distribute the cement by means of handles d, d<1>. Fig. 17 shows a similar mould for curved pipes. Fig. 20 shows a mould for pipes having right-angled branches and comprising shells n<1> with socket portions n<2>, s, a horizontal mandrel r supported between plates o, p, connected by a bolt q, and a vertical mandrel t passing through the mandrel r and resting upon the bolt q. Fig. 23 shows a similar mould for pipes having obliqueangled branches. Fig. 28 shows a modified support m having stirrups x to receive trunnions y on the mould.
