Abstract

1,219,356. Valves. E. E. JEAVONS & CO. Ltd., [trading as JEAVONS ENG. CO.]. 9 May, 1968, No. 21934/68. Heading F2V. A diaphragm-actuated valve such as a pressure or rate of flow governor or an emergency stop valve comprises a closure member 17 engageable with a seat 10 of resilient material in which is embedded a metal reinforcing ring 11. The vertical limb 12 of ring 11 assists in holding circumferential rib (14) against the bore of valve wall 16. Limb 13 is larger in diameter than the bore. Either of limbs 12, 13 may be omitted.
