1,219,340. Junction boxes. QUANTE VERMOGENSVERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H., [trading as WILHELM QUANTE SPEZIALFABRIK FUR APPARATE DER FURNMELDETECHNIK]. 4 Dec., 1968 [6 Dec., 1967], No. 57579/68. Heading H2E. A junction box comprises cable lead terminals 10 mounted on planar members orthogonal to a further planar member 7 on which are mounted an equal number of terminals 5 for outlet leads. Terminals 5, 10 are solder pins or screw connectors and are connected in a one to one correspondence by wires, metal shapes or printed circuits. Alternatively, they may be integrally formed. Terminals 10 are mounted in the walls of a removable box 2 containing capacitors, resistors or fuses slidably connected to terminals 10 and locked in position. A transparent dust cover 6 and access covers 13 are provided. The cable to be terminated is led through an inlet A and is sealed in position with resin. The junction-box has external connecting lugs (not shown) on each side of the box relatively displaced in a vertical direction. In an alternative arrangement (Fig. 3, not shown), the electrical components are housed in magazines at the top and bottom of the box.
