Abstract

1,217,797. Pipe couplings. PNEUMATIC COMPONENTS Ltd. 27 Oct., 1969, No. 52416/69. Heading F2G. A valved pipe coupling for filling and/or pressurizing valved containers, tyres, &c. comprises a body 1 provided with an enlarged knurled head 2 and an annular groove 10 joined to passages 12 communicating with a relatively rotatable banjo fitting 4, the body being connected to a nozzle 3 provided with a valve seating 7 engageable by a valve head 18 on a stem 13 having a knurled knob 16, by which it may be screwed up-and-down a bore 15 in the body. The nozzle 3 is screwed onto the container, &c. valve (not shown) by turning the head 2 of the body 1 while the banjo fitting 4 is held station. ary, engaging the nozzle thread 26 with the container, &c. valve. The knob 16 is then screwed down, moving the valve head 18 to the open position and causing a pin 22 on the stem 13 to open the container, &c. valve.
