Abstract

121,691. Heap, T. J. April 24, 1918. Dolls. - A doll having a stuffed body has legs of full length made of pottery, composition, &c. jointed to the body at the hips. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 6, the legs a are formed with inclined upper parts d' which fit against the sides of the body b. The legs are held in position by a cord or wire e passing through eyes f<1> on wines f engaging the upper part of the legs. The cord &c. passes upwards in the body and is fixed to the head. The outer parts of the legs may be formed with recesses to receive knots &c. on the ends of the securing cords in place of using wires f. Fig. 5 shows a modification in which a short tubular extension l of the body is secured to the leg by an encircling ring m.
