Abstract
1,216,507. Separating particles from gases. CAPVAC INDUSTRIES Inc. 18 Dec., 1967, No. 19046/70. Divided out of 1,216,506. Heading B1T. [Also in Division B8] Flow is introduced into hopper 38 trough inlet 52 past valve 256 whilst air is withdrawn at 162 by vacuum introduced at 158 past valve 270. Then, inlet 52 is enclosed by valve 256, and pressure is introduced at 158 'by reversing valve 270 so that the material is discharged between surfaces 40 and 41 past rotary valve 266 into pneumatic conveyor 22. The outlet surfaces 40, 41 have different curves as shown to facilitate the discharge, which is controlled by rotating paddles 184 and 284. Dust from the air filtered at 146, and 148 to be discharged through valves 198 and 202.
