Abstract

1,214,240. Spark plugs. CHAMPION SPARK PLUG CO. Aug.6, 1969 [Sept.3, 1968], No.39308/69. Heading F1B. A spark plug has a central electrode comprising a metallic sheath 20 encompassing a heat conductive metal core 26 mounted adjacent the lower end of the insulator 11, the metallic sheath having a tubular side wall and an integral bottom wall 27 and a corrosion resistant metal firing tip 28. The firing tip has a fine wire shank portion and a headed end 29 and the headed end of the tip is attached to the bottom wall of the metallic sheath.
