1,213,585. Spectacle holders. G. H. WRETMAN and A. B. PETTERSSON. Jan.5, 1968 [Jan.17, 1967; Sept.29, 1967], No.825/68. Heading G2J. A spectacle holder for use when the ears of a wearer are covered comprises a flexible arched frame 1 carrying two rods 2, each of which carries an adjusting member 4 pivotably and displaceably arranged thereon. The members 4 in turn each carry a spring clamp 7. In use, the spring clamps 7 are opened, spectacle side arms are inserted between the claws 9 of the clamps, which are then closed. The members 4 are pushed against spring force into contact with end stops 11 of the rods 2 and the holder moved over the head until the spectacles rest on the bridge of the nose. The members 4 are then released and the springs 12 pull the frame 1 into contact with the person's head, the members 4 being turned slightly relative to the rods 2 by spring action to lock the frame into position.
