Abstract

1,213,560. Utilizing solar heat. SOLATHERM Ltd. 16 Oct., 1969 [29 July, 1968], No. 36188/68. Heading F4U. A solar water heater assembly comprises two members connected together by a universal coupling 13, one member including a bar 14 and clamping plates 15, 16 adapted for fixture to a caravan or like wall, and the other member including a triangular frame 11 having secured thereto a solar heater unit 10. The unit has tubular passages 4 extending between headers 2, 3 having inlet and outlet pipes 8, 9 respectively with flexible pipe connections 18, 20 and 23 which allow the unit to be stowed against the wall when inoperative and the universal joint allows the unit to be set in various positions relative to the sun.
