Abstract
1,212,185. Distribution box. H. A. HALL. 15 Nov., 1967 [15 Nov., 1966], No. 51043/66. Heading H2E. [Also in Division H1] A removable fuse carrier 29 is interbacked with a star type three phase switch (16, Fig. 2) by a bolt 50 movable by the switch handle 13 being received in an apertured tongue 37 on the carrier 29. When carrier 29 is not inserted in housing 14 a bar 55 pivoted on a pin 56 mounted in apertures 54 is biased to overlie aligned slots 53 and 39 so that bolt 50 is prevented from passing through all the aligned apertures 58 and thus prevents handle 13 from turning the switch "on". When carrier 29 is inserted, tongue 37 enters slots 39, 53 and pushes bar 55 against its bias 57 so that on clockwise rotation of handle 13 through 90 degrees to turn the switch "on", link 47 connected to handle 13 and lever 42 connected to link 47 by pin 49 pivot so that bolt 50 mounted in slot 44 moves to the right and enters all the apertures 58 and tongue apertures 38 aligned therewith and thus prevents withdrawal of carrier 29. An indicator plate 41 is visible through a window 40 fixed spring biased contacts 18 connected between the switch 16 and the load co-operate with contact 36 connected to the fuses (30, Fig. 2).
