In an electric measuring or responsive device assembly in which the device is mounted in a carrier member (Fig. 2) slidable in a mounting frame member 1 (Fig. 1) by co-operating runners 13 and slots 9, electrical connection is made between the device and an external circuit connected to terminals 3, through carrier contacts 15 and mounting frame contacts 2, the two sets of contacts being interconnected by sliding switch contacts 17, mounted on the carrier member and operated by projections 25, on pivoted handle side members 21, sliding in slots 20 cut inside cheeks 19, integral with the switch contacts. The side members 21 also have arcuate slots 24, for locking with projections 10 on the mounting frame, the arrangement being such that, with the two members assembled and with the handle in the position shown in Fig. 2, the two members are locked together and contacts 15 and 2 are interconnected, while rotation of the handle clockwise through 60 degrees breaks the connection, sliding switch contacts 17 outwards for co-operation with a test probe further rotation of the handle through 30 degrees causing the arcuate slots 24 to clear the projections 10, allowing the two parts to be separated. Continuous rotation of the handle through 90 degrees is prevented by catch 26 engaging notches 29 and 30 at the 60 and 90 degrees positions, respectively.
