Abstract

1,211,852. Seats. RANK ORGANISATION Ltd. 29 May, 1968 [6 June, 1967], No. 26062/67. Heading A4B. A seat frame, Fig. 1, comprising a member 1 supporting a back-rest 2 and an integral member 3 supporting a tilting seat 8 is contained in a central vertical plane normal to the tilting axis. A pivot bar 12, Fig. 3, passing through a bracket 9, 10, 11 that is riveted to the seat is held in a cross-head 13 on member 3, and a torsion spring 14 biases the seat to its tilted position as shown in which the back edge of the seat bears against a buffer (16, Fig. 5). In the seating position, a stop bar 11 bears against member 3 (Fig. 4).
