Abstract

The invention relates to a tip-up chair comprising a seat (12) and means (16) of supporting said seat (12). The aforementioned seat can pivot in relation to the support means between a seating position and a tipped-up position. The support means comprise a central support element (16) consisting of a seat support part (24) bearing a seat shaft (28). Said shaft is provided with two end parts (28A, 28B) and defines the pivot axis of the seat (12). The lower face of the seat (12) comprises a seat housing having a central through part (36) which is used to receive the seat support part (24) and two side parts which extend from either side of said central part and which receive the aforementioned end parts (28A, 28B). The inventive chair comprises hold means (12) which are used to hold said seat shaft (28) in the seat housing therefor. End stop means are used to support the seat (12) in the low position.

Description

Lift seat

The present invention relates to a seat with a liftable seat comprising a seat and means for supporting this seat, with respect to which the latter is movable by pivoting between a low position, corresponding in particular to the position of use, and a raised position.

There are known seats of this type which are commonly used in public transport, waiting halls, stadiums, grandstands, etc. These seats are, for example, fixed by lateral uprights, themselves fixed to a wall. According to another possibility, the seats are fixed in batch to a substantially horizontal common support which is itself held against a fixed wall, horizontal or vertical depending on the type of support. When they are not mobile, they can also be directly fixed to a wall which is then preferably horizontal. However, whatever the existing method of fixing envisaged, the mounting of these seats is long and requires a certain number of parts and tools to ensure the good behavior of the seat on the support or directly against the wall. In the assembly using lateral uprights, the seats are only correctly fixed if the spacing between the uprights is strictly respected and if these are substantially parallel to each other.

In certain applications, such as stadiums, certain seats must be fitted and removed from the stands to modify the stadium's capacity. It is therefore desirable that these operations be simple and rapid.

The object of the present invention is to provide a seat with a liftable seat comprising a seat and means for supporting this seat, the assembly and disassembly of which are simplified and the proper maintenance of the seat is ensured after assembly. This object is achieved by the fact that the seat support means comprise a central support element comprising a seat pin which has two end parts located on two opposite sides of said support element and which defines the pivot axis of the seat, by the fact that the underside of the seat has, in a central part, a seat housing adapted to receive said seat axis, by the fact that the seat includes means for retaining said seat to hold said axis seat in said seat housing, and in that the seat includes stop means which, together with said seat axis, are capable of supporting the seat in the low position.

The mobility of the seat cushion relative to the support element which can be an upright, a foot, a console, a rod, etc., can be represented by a pivot link. Indeed, the support element comprises a seat axis which constitutes the axis of the pivot, the seat comprises a seat housing which allows it to rotate relative to the axis, while retaining means cooperating with the axle and with the seat prevent the latter from sliding on the axle.

The stop means limit the tilting of the seat downwards and, with the seat axis, they support the seat in the low position.

The assembly is facilitated by the fact that it suffices to put the support element in place, for example by fixing it to a wall, to place the seat so as to bring the seat axis into its housing and to put in place the retaining means to prevent any unauthorized withdrawal of the seat relative to the support element after its mounting on the latter.

A single central support element is sufficient to support the seat, which greatly simplifies assembly and disassembly operations.

Advantageously, the support element comprises a seat support part which carries said seat axis and the seat housing has a through central part to receive said support part, and two lateral parts which extend from one side and other of said central part and which receive said end parts of the seat axis.

To make the user's sitting position pleasant, the seat support part is nestled in the central through part of the seat. The support part advantageously has an upper face which has a shape similar to that of the seat in the vicinity of the through central part in order to be able to obstruct the latter by forming a continuous surface with the upper surface of the seat, when the latter is in the down position. Advantageously, the support part extends at least partially substantially horizontally relative to the element of central support; in particular, the upper face of the support part extends substantially horizontally while being adapted to the shape of the seat in the vicinity of the through central part.

The support part is preferably in the form of a parallelepiped, one of the faces of which bears against the central support element to absorb the forces transmitted during the use of the seat (change of position of the seat, mass support, etc.). This shape also allows easy realization of all of the support means. To allow easy pivoting of the seat, it is advantageously provided that each of the lateral parts of the seat housing has at least one part of a semi-circular wall which forms a bearing for each of said end parts of the axis of seated.

Advantageously, the seat retaining means comprise two rings, belonging respectively to each of the two lateral parts of the seat housing and spaced apart by a distance substantially equal to the length of the seat axis and the retaining means of the seat comprise two retaining members, respectively capable of being held in each of these two rings to cooperate with each end part of the seat axis.

Thus, the seat is simply placed on the seat axis by a translation operated until the seat axis cooperates with the bottom of the seat housing. The latter having the same length as the seat axis, no complex movement, such as tilting, is necessary to introduce the seat axis inside its housing. Then, the seat pin is retained in its housing by means of retaining members which are housed in the rings, while cooperating with the ends of the seat pin.

To prevent unauthorized removal of these retaining members from the seat, the seat advantageously includes means for locking the retaining members in the rings. These locking means can be designed so that they can only be unlocked using a specific tool.

The retaining members are advantageously retaining sleeves capable of being fitted onto end portions of the seat axis. When mounting the seat, after having installed the seat on the seat axle, it suffices to introduce the retaining sleeves into the seat rings to fit them on the end parts of the seat axis and thus block the seat around its pivot axis formed by the seat axis.

More sophisticated seat models advantageously include a backrest fixed to the support element.

The presence of the backrest allows the seat user to have a more comfortable sitting position. Thus, advantageously, the support element further comprises a support upright which carries said folder.

As for the support part of the seat, the support upright advantageously comprises a backrest axis which has two end parts located on two opposite sides of the support upright and the rear face of said backrest advantageously has a suitable backrest housing to receive said file axis.

In its raised position, the front of the seat preferably bears against the backrest. Thus, to allow tilting of the seat to the raised position, the seat axis is offset towards the front of the support element relative to the backrest axis.

Advantageously, the backrest housing has a central part in which said support post is housed, and two lateral parts which extend on either side of said central part and which receive the end parts of the axis of folder. The backrest has means for retaining and locking the backrest on the support element similar to those described for the seat.

Thus, the backrest is mounted, maintained and retained on the support post in a manner comparable to the previous description made for the seat, the support post coming to nest at least partially in the central part of the backrest housing.

To retain the backrest on the backrest axis, without allowing it to pivot relative to the support upright, the backrest housing is advantageously located in a central part of the rear face of said backrest and the seat advantageously comprises hooking means for the lower part of the backrest on said support element. To facilitate mounting of the backrest, the hooking means comprise a secondary backrest axis which extends over said support upright and a secondary backrest housing which is formed in said bottom part of the rear face of the backrest and which is suitable to receive said secondary file axis.

Thus, during assembly, the operator places the back of the backrest against the secondary axis so as to introduce this secondary axis into its housing, rotates the backrest towards the support upright so as to introduce the axis of file in its housing and activate the means for retaining this axis in this housing.

Advantageously, to simplify the production of the seat support part, the seat axis is a rod which passes through the central support element while being attached to it and / or the back axis is a rod which passes through the support amount while being attached to it. Each of the axes is arranged in a suitable opening provided in the relevant area of the support element (seat support part or support upright), so as to project on either side, preferably symmetrically. Each axis is held on the support element, for example, by welding on the edges of these openings. The seat also advantageously comprises a counterweight fixed to the seat, behind the pivot axis of the seat.

Thus, as soon as the user gets up from his seat or the load having been affixed to it is removed, the seat automatically switches to the high position. The seat can be decorated with one or two armrests to improve its ergonomics.

The armrest can possibly be articulated to accompany the pivoting of the seat or else be fixed only to the backrest (when the latter is present) or to the support element. However, advantageously, the armrest is fixed to the seat by a fixing member arranged coaxially with the seat axis.

Thus, the armrest can remain fixed while being perfectly supported by the seat, without interfering with the pivoting of the latter.

The armrest advantageously comprises a structure having two pins which are housed respectively in the seat axis and in the backrest axis, the latter then having hollow end portions.

Advantageously, the structure of the armrest is at least partially covered by a lining having two sleeves which are arranged around the studs with an empty space and which are capable of being fitted respectively on an end portion of the seat axis. and on an end part of the backrest axis, while the pins are housed in the seat and backrest axes.

The structure of the armrest, like the support element, are preferably metallic to ensure good resistance to deformation, in particular the armrest must not yield under the weight of a user. On the other hand, the backrest as well as the seat are preferably made of plastic material, for example blown PP (polypropylene).

The armrest sleeves advantageously have locking means in the seat and back housings, which allow them to play the same role as the retaining sleeves mentioned above.

Thus, by placing the armrest in the rings formed in the seat and in the backrest, the latter are held in place on the support element.

The invention will be well understood and its advantages will appear better on reading the detailed description which follows, of embodiments shown by way of nonlimiting examples.

The seat 10 shown in FIG. 1 has a lifting seat 12 (which is shown in the low position) and a backrest 14. This low position corresponds to the normal position of use (the user is in the sitting position or places a load on the seat), while the raised position corresponds to the position of non-use of the seat 10, the seat 12 of the seat 10 tilting backwards, as soon as the load is removed from the seat 12. The seat 10 is fixed to a wall using support means 16 which comprise a single central support element 16 supporting the seat 12.

To allow the backrest 14 to be maintained, the support element 16 comprises, above the seat, a support upright 18. In addition, a plate 20 fixed on the support element 16 makes it possible to hold the latter against a wall element. Depending on the inclination of the wall, vertical or horizontal, against which one wishes to fix the support element, a different support element will be chosen, of the foot type, as in FIGS. 1 and 2, or of the console type, as on Figure 3.

The support element 16 of FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a foot 22 at the end 20A of which is disposed the plate 20 which makes it possible to fix it on a horizontal wall (for example the ground). In the mounted position, the foot 22 may be slightly inclined relative to the vertical, for reasons of aesthetics and balance.

On the other hand, when the wall is vertical, it is preferable to fix it in a console, as illustrated in FIG. 3. In this method of fixing in a console, the support element 216 is longitudinal and has a foot. 222, which is no longer inclined, but which on the contrary now extends in the extension of the support upright 218, as shown in FIG. 3. In this case, the plate 220 is preferably located in the vicinity of the seat 12 (not shown in Figure 3). The following description refers to the support element of the foot type of FIG. 2, but it should be understood that it also applies to the console type element. The support element 16 comprises a seat support part 24 traversed by an opening 26 opening on two opposite sides 24A and 24B of the seat support part 24, located on either side of the support 16 on the foot 22. A seat pin 28, in this case a preferably tubular metal rod, is inserted into this opening 26 and fixed by welding against the walls 26A and 26B of this opening 26, respectively on each side 24A and 24B. Thus, the two end parts 28A and 28B of the seat pin 28 extend on either side of the seat support part 24. The seat pin 28 defines the axis of pivoting of the seat 12 (shown in the figure

1).

Figure 4 shows the mounting of the seat 12 on the support member 16. The underside 30 of the seat 12 has in a central portion 32, a seat housing 34 for receiving the seat axis 28. In fact, the seat housing 34 has, on the one hand, a through central part 36, intended to receive the seat support part 24 and, on the other hand, two lateral parts 38A and 38B, which are extend on either side of the central part 36 of the seat housing 34 and which are intended to receive the two end parts 28A and 28B of the seat axis 28.

In the low position of the seat 12, ie substantially horizontal, the seat support part 24 is nestled in the central part 36 of the seat housing 34. The upper surface 24D of the seat support part 24 having , as shown in FIG. 1, contours similar to those delimiting the central part 36. For reasons of simplification of construction of the seat 10, the upper surface 24D of the seat support part 24 can also be set back by relative to the edge of the central part 36, as illustrated in FIG. 5. In both cases, in the low position, the user is in no way bothered by the presence of the support part 24. In the raised position of the seat 12, the through central part 36 of the seat housing overlaps the seat support part 24. The seat 12 can therefore be raised, despite the fact that the seat support part 24 (in particular its upper face 24D) is substantially horizontal. Figure 6 shows the side portion 38A of the seat housing 34 extending on one side of the seat support portion 24, in this case on the side 24A. The lateral part 38A of the seat housing 34 has a semi-circular wall part 40A which forms a bearing for the end part 28A of the seat pin 28. As shown in FIG. 4 and partly on the Figure 6, the seat 10 further comprises retaining means 42 which allow to retain the seat pin 28 in its housing 34. On the one hand, these retaining means 42 comprise two rings 44A and 44B which belong respectively to each of the two lateral parts 38A and 38B of the seat housing 34. On the other hand, these retaining means 42 comprise two retaining members 46A and 46B which are respectively capable of being held in each of the two rings 44A and 44B by cooperating with each end part 28A and 28B of the seat axis 28. The two retaining members 46A and 46B are preferably retaining sleeves 46A and 46B, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 6.

The two rings 44A and 44B are separated by a distance D ₄ substantially equal to the length L ₂ β of the seat axis 28 (FIG. 4), so that the seat axis 24 extends between the two rings 44A and 44B, without penetrating inside the latter. In this case, by cooperating with the retaining means 42, the two rings 44A and 44B form additional bearings for guiding the seat pin 28.

In order to prevent any unauthorized disassembly of the seat 12 arranged around the seat axis 28, the seat comprises locking means 48 which are obtained by the particular conformations of the retaining sleeves 46A, 46B, of their rings respective, 44A, 44B and the seat 12 itself.

In fact, the retaining sleeves 46A and 46B each have an elastic tongue 50A and 50B respectively. As soon as the corresponding tongue 50A, 50B opens out of the ring 44A, respectively 44B, during the introduction of the retaining sleeve 46A, 46B, the tongue 50A, respectively 50B, deviates naturally due to its elasticity. The tongues 50A and 50B are cut from the retaining sleeves 46A and 46B, then are deformed, or else the retaining sleeves 46A and 46B are molded and the tongues 50A and 50B come from molding with them.

Advantageously, each retaining sleeve 46A, 46B further comprises a cut head respectively 52A and 52B, which has a flat surface 54A, respectively 54B, capable of coming into contact with a flat 53 formed under the seat 12, thus preventing any rotation of the retaining sleeve in its corresponding ring. This contact takes place after having introduced each of the retaining sleeves 46A, 46B into its corresponding ring 44A, 44B and after having respectively fitted them onto each end 28A, respectively 28B of the seat pin 28. In the present case, each flat part 53 is formed by the upper wall of a recess 55 formed in one of the lateral faces 31 of the seat 12, so that once positioned, each of the two retaining sleeves 46A, 46B is practically inserted in the recess 55. The rings 44A and 44B are formed by bores which each open in the seat housing 34 and a side face 31, these bores being aligned with the seat axis 28, when the latter is in place in housing 34.

For each retaining sleeve 46A, 46B, the orientation of the tongue 50A relative to this surface 54A is such that the tongue 50A is turned towards the inside of the underside 30 of the seat 12, so that it is not visible, even when the seat 12 is raised. In addition, a specific tool is advantageously necessary to fold the tabs 50A and 50B, remove the retaining sleeves 46A, 46B and dismantle the seat 12. With this configuration, the seat 12 pivots easily around the pivot axis materialized by the seat axis 28 causing with it the rotation of the sleeves 46A and 46B, which are fixed relative to the seat 12. However, to limit the movement of the seat 12 around this seat axis 28, the seat 12 includes abutment means 57. FIG. 5 shows such abutment means 57 which are arranged on the underside 30 of the seat 12. These abutment means 57, which are for example made of PP or a rubber material allowing more energy to be absorbed than PP, are preferably fixed against an inner part 59 of the seat 12 arranged at the front of the housing 32, in the extension of the central part 36 of this housing. Thus, in the low position, the stop means 57 come to bear against the front face 24C of the seat support part 24. The means for fixing these stop means 57 comprise, for example screws 61 which are received in the stop means 57 and a solid portion 59 'of the inner part 59. The introduction of each of these screws 61 is done on the side of the stop means 57, so as to hide them as much as possible. Thus, in the low position for using the seat 12, the opening of the housing 57 ′ formed in the stop means 57 is in abutment against the front face 24C of the seat support part 24, while in high position, the opening is substantially in a horizontal plane. In order to further support the seat 12 in its lower stop, a support tab 24 'can be provided on the support part 24. This support tab 24', for example fixed to the support part 24 by welding, protrudes from the latter towards the front of the seat 12 to allow part of the forces to be supported when the seat is lowered to the low position.

FIG. 5 shows in dashed lines the raised position of the seat 12.

The mounting principle described above for the seat 12 also applies for mounting the backrest 14 on the support upright 18 which is described more succinctly with reference to FIG. 7.

The backrest 14 has on its rear face 56 a backrest housing 58 intended to receive a backrest pin 60, preferably tubular, fixed on the support upright 18 protruding from its opposite sides 18A and 18B, in a manner similar to the fixing of the seat axis 28 on the foot 22 previously described. This backrest housing 58 has a conformation similar to that of the seat housing 34.

Thus, this folder housing 58 has a central portion 62, in which the support post 18 is housed, and two lateral portions 64A and 64B, which extend on either side of the central portion 62 of the folder housing 58 and which are intended to receive the two end parts 60A and 60B of the backrest axis 60. The folder 12 also includes retaining means 66 which allow the folder axis 60 to be retained in its housing 58. Thus, the two lateral parts 64A and 64B of the folder housing 58 include two rings 68A and 68B in each of which a sleeve retaining 70A and 70B, forming the retaining member, is adapted to be maintained with each end portion 60A and 60B of the backrest axis 60 by being preferably fitted on said end portion. Advantageously, each retaining sleeve 70A and 70B further comprises a cut head 71A and 71B respectively, which has a flat surface 71'A, respectively 71'B, capable of coming into contact with a flat 73 formed in a recess 75 arranged towards the rear of the backrest 14 on its lateral face 71, thus preventing any rotation of the retaining sleeve in its corresponding ring.

The two rings 68A and 68B are spaced by a distance D ₆ β substantially equal to the length Uo of the backrest axis 60, so that the backrest axis 60 is located between the two rings 68A and 68B.

As for the seat, to prevent any unauthorized disassembly of the backrest 14 arranged around the backrest axis 60, the seat has locking means 72 which are obtained by the particular conformations of the retaining sleeves 70A, 70B, of their respective rings, 68A, 68B and the back 14 itself.

The backrest housing 58 is located in a central part 74 of the backrest 14, which causes a possible rotation of the backrest around the backrest axis 60, as for the seat around its pivot axis 28. However, this rotation is not sought for file 14, on the contrary.

Thus, to avoid any rotation of the backrest 14, when the latter has been fixed to its backrest axis 60, the seat 10 has hooking means 76 visible in FIG. 7 and shown in detail in FIGS. 8 and 9.

These attachment means 76 comprise a secondary axis 77, which passes through the support upright 18 to open on either side of the latter. The secondary axis 77 is also preferably constituted by a rod or by a tube. To accommodate this secondary axis 77, a secondary housing 79 is provided in the lower part 81 of the rear face 56 of the backrest 14. The secondary housing 79 is of curvilinear shape and has a wider opening towards the front face 56 ′ of the backrest 14 to allow the passage of the secondary axis 77.

After having hooked the backrest 14 on the secondary axis 77, a slight rotation of the backrest 14 around this secondary axis 77 towards the rear, allows the coming of the backrest housing 58 opposite the backrest axis 60 and therefore the establishment of the backrest 14 on the support upright 18, which makes it possible to maintain it using the retaining means 66 described above. FIGS. 10 and 11 will now be described. To ensure the lifting of the seat 12 by gravity, the seat has two counterweights 78 and 80 shown in FIG. 11, respectively housed on either side of the support upright 16 ( indicated only in broken lines in Figure 11) in the seat 12 itself. To do this, housings 82 and 84 are provided in the rear of the seat 86. Each counterweight 78, respectively 80, is inserted in its corresponding housing 82, respectively 84 by openings 82 'and 84' provided for this purpose. in seat 12.

Still to avoid any unauthorized disassembly, in this particular case of counterweights, these openings 82 'and 84' are located opposite one another and are masked by the support upright 18 when the seat 12 is fixed to this last. They open out into the central part 36 of the housing 32.

Alveoli 88 are present in the seat to form, in each of these housings 82 and 84, bearing surfaces for the counterweights 78 and 80. In addition, to guarantee good symmetry of the load in the seat 12, stops 90, respectively 92, are formed respectively in these housings 82 and 84. After introduction of each of the counterweights 78 and 80, in its respective housing 82 and 84, a retaining plug 83, respectively 85, comprising an anti-withdrawal tab, just close each of the openings 82 'and 84'. The seat can be produced by blowing to easily accommodate the housings 82 and 84. Advantageously, the counterweights 78 and 80 are placed in these housings 82 and 84 before the seat 12 is completely cooled to be better maintained thanks to the phenomena of withdrawal which accompany the cooling of the plastic. According to an improved seat model, the seat 10 can be equipped with one or two armrests 94, as illustrated in FIG. 12.

Each armrest 94 is symmetrical with respect to a plane of symmetry Q, which makes it possible to have a single model for the right armrest and the left armrest.

For example, in Figure 12, the left armrest 94 is not mounted on the seat 10. To allow its attachment to the seat, the armrest 94 has a fastening member 96 coaxial with the seat axis 28 .

The armrest 94 being symmetrical, it in fact comprises two fixing members 96, disposed respectively on each end of the armrest

94A and 94B being respectively coaxially opposite the seat axis 28 and the backrest axis 60. In this way, the armrest 94 remains fixed during the pivoting of the seat 12 around its seat axis 28.

Each armrest 94 has a metal structure 94 'for reinforcing the armrest which can be covered with a plastic material, for example molded PP, forming a lining 94 "for the armrest 94.

The fastening members 96 are formed on the metal structure 94 'and on the lining 94 ".

They comprise on the one hand, two studs 98A and 98B formed on the structure 94 'and extending respectively at each end of armrest 94A and 94B to fit into each of the hollow ends 28B (of the seat axis 28) and 60B (from the backrest axis 60). To form a tight fitting, the diameter of each of these pins 98A and 98B is for example of the order of 15 mm, while each seat 28 and backrest 60 axis is formed by a tube with an internal diameter of 1 '' order of 16 mm.

The fastening members 96 further comprise sleeves 100A, 100B, belonging to the lining 94 "and arranged around the pins 98A, 98B. A clearance corresponding to the thickness of the wall of the tubes 28 and 60 is provided between the sleeves 100A, 100B and the pins 98A, 98B to allow the insertion of the pins 98A, 98B in these tubes 28 and 60 and the fitting of the sleeves 100A, 100B on the tubes.

The sleeves 100A and 100B play the same role as the retaining sleeves 46A and 46B of the seat 12 and that the retaining sleeves 70A and 70B of the backrest 14, described above, and replace the latter with this advantageous form of armrest. As a result, the sleeves 100A and 100B are similar in shape to the retaining sleeves 46A, 46B, 70A and 70B and also include locking means 102 similar to the locking means 48 of the seat 12 and to the locking means 72 of the backrest 14. The means of locking of the sleeves 100A and 100B, each thus comprises a retaining tab 104A, respectively 104B, located on each sleeve respectively 100A and 100B.

The support element 16 is preferably metallic, while the seat 12 and the backrest 14 are preferably made of blown plastic material, in PP, for example, which makes it possible to obtain a particular shape of the seat 12 and of the backrest 14. This embodiment by blowing makes it possible to obtain shapes which answer both aesthetic and mechanical questions. Thus, in particular, all of the previously described housings, for the seat 12, as for the backrest 14 and the bearings 40A, are directly produced at the time of blowing, in the corresponding part, seat 12 or backrest 14.

To facilitate the production and mounting of such a seat, all the retaining members 46A, 46B of the seat 12 and 70A and 70B of the backrest 14 can be of identical geometry.

1. Lift seat (12) comprising a seat (12) and support means (16) of this seat (12), with respect to which the latter is movable by pivoting between a low position, corresponding in particular to the position of use, and a raised position, characterized in that said support means comprise a central support element (16) comprising a seat support part (24) carrying a seat pin (28) which has two parts end (28A, 28B) located on two opposite sides (24A, 24B) of said support element (16) and which defines the pivot axis of the seat (12), in that the underside (30) of the seat (12) has, in a central part (32), a seat housing (34) capable of receiving said seat pin (28) having a through central part (36) for receiving said support part seat (24) and two lateral parts (38A, 38B), which extend on either side of said part central and which receive said end portions (28A, 28B) of the seat axis (28), in that it comprises means (42) for retaining said seat (12) to retain said axis seat (28) in said seat housing (34), and in that it comprises stop means (57) which, together with said seat pin (28), are capable of supporting the seat (12 ) in the low position.

2. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that each of the lateral parts (38A, 38B) of the seat housing (34) has at least one semi-circular wall part (40A) which forms a bearing (40A) for each of said end portions (28A, 28B) of the seat pin (28).

Seat according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the retaining means (42) of the seat (12) comprise two rings (44A, 44B), belonging respectively to each of the two lateral parts (38A, 38B) of the seat housing (34) and spaced apart by a distance (D ₃₈ ) substantially equal to the length (L ₂ β) of the seat axis (28) and in that the retaining means (42 ) of the seat (12) comprise two retaining members (46A, 46B), respectively able to be held in each of these two rings (44A, 44B) to cooperate with each end part (28A, 28B) of the seat pin (28).

4. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it further comprises means (48) for locking said retaining members (46A, 46B) of the seat (12) in said rings (44A, 44B).

5. Seat according to any one of claims 3 and 4, characterized in that said retaining members (46A, 46B) are retaining sleeves (46A, 46B) capable of being fitted on end portions (28A, 28B) of the seat axle (28).

6. Seat according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises a backrest (14) which is fixed to said support element (16).

7. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said support element (16) further comprises a support upright (18) which carries said backrest (14).

8. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said support upright (18) comprises a back pin (60) which has two end parts (60A, 60B) located on two opposite sides (18A, 18B) of said support upright (18) and in that the rear face (56) of said backrest (14) has a backrest housing (58) capable of receiving said backrest axis (60).

9. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said seat axis (28) is offset towards the front of the support element (16) relative to said backrest axis (60).

Seat according to any one of claims 8 and 9, characterized in that said folder housing (58) has a central part (62) in which is housed said support upright (18), and two side parts (62A , 62B) which extend on either side of said central part (62) and which receive said end parts (60A, 60B) of the backrest axis (60).

11. Seat according to any one of claims 8 to 10, characterized in that it further comprises means for retaining the backrest (66) for retaining the backrest axis (60) in the backrest housing (58) .

Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the backrest retaining means (66) comprise two rings (68A, 68B), belonging respectively to each of the two lateral parts (64A, 64B) of the backrest housing (58) and spaced apart by a distance (D ₆ s) substantially equal to the length (Uo) of the axis of backrest (60) and in that the backrest retaining means (66) comprise two retaining members (70A, 70B), respectively capable of being held in each of these two rings (68A, 68B) to cooperate with each part of end (60A, 60B) of the backrest pin (60).

13. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it further comprises means for locking (72) said backrest retaining members (66) in said rings (68A, 68B).

14. Seat according to any one of claims 12 and 13, characterized in that said retaining members (70A, 70B) are retaining sleeves (70A, 70B) capable of being fitted on end portions (60A, 60B) of the backrest axis (60).

15. Seat according to any one of claims 9 to 14, characterized in that said folder housing (58) is located in a central part (74) of the rear face (56) of said folder (14) and in that said seat (10) comprises means for hooking (76) the lower part of the backrest (81) on said support element (16).

Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said attachment means (76) comprise a secondary backrest axis (77) which extends over said support upright (18) and a secondary backrest housing (79) which is formed in said lower part (81) of the rear face (56) of the backrest (14) and which is capable of receiving said secondary backrest axis (77).

17. Seat according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said seat axis (28) is a rod which passes through the support element (16) while being fixed thereto.

18. Seat according to any one of claims 8 to 17, characterized in that said back axis (60) is a rod which passes through said support upright (18) while being fixed thereto.

19. Seat according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises a counterweight (78, 80) fixed to the seat (12), behind the pivot axis (28) of the 'seat (12).

20. Seat according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it further comprises at least one armrest (94).

21. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said armrest (94) is fixed to the seat (12) by a fixing member (96) arranged coaxially with the seat axis (28).

22. Seat according to any one of claims 20 and 21, characterized in that said armrest (94) comprises a structure (940 having two pins (98A, 98B) which are housed respectively in the seat axis (28 ) and in the backrest axis (60), the latter having hollow ends (28A, 28B; 60A, 60B).

Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said structure (940 is at least partially covered by a lining (94 ") which has two sleeves (100A, 100B) in the vicinity of the pins (98A, 98B) and which are suitable to be fitted respectively on an end part (28A; 28B) of the seat pin (28) and on an end part (60A; 60B) of the back pin (60).

24. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the sleeves (100A, 100B) have locking means (102).

25. Seat according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said locking means (102) form the means (48; 72) for locking respectively the retaining members (46A, 46B) of the seat (42) and the retention (70A, 70B) of the file (14).
