Athletic overshoes.-A detachable, adjustable, non-slipping sole plate, which is secured in the known way by straps and buckles, comprises a toe member 6 with a rearwardlyextending plate 12, hinged side plates 3, and a transverse plate 8 which is divided at 7 and carries pins 9 adapted to move in inclined slots 10 in the plate 12. The toe member 6, plate 12, and side plates 3 are provided with integral spikes &c. 27. For use with the sole plate, there is provided a heel tip stamped to form an outer series of studs or spikes &c. 23 and, at intervals, other studs 25 having pointed stems 26 for driving into the heel of the boot.
