Abstract

1,209,255. Securing loads in bulk on vehicles. M. STEINTHAL & CO. Inc. 5 Feb., 1968, No. 5601/68. Heading B7C. [Also in Division E2B] A load restraining device comprises a channel shaped track 10 for straps or beams having a pair of spaced lateral apertures 22 extending into the side walls of the track and central apertures beneath raised ribs 19, a strap connector 35 or a beam end support have tongue or tabs which engage the apertures. The strap connector 35 has projecting, lateral tongues 39, 40 of unequal length to enable fitting into a pair of opposed lateral apertures 22 when the track is vertical and into a pair of central apertures when the track is horizontal. The beam end support, Fig. 8 (not shown), is connected to a horizontal track by a lateral tab and a displaceable tab which is liftable against the action of a spring. The tabs engage a pair of lateral apertures 22.
