Abstract

1,208,679. Teat cups. ALFA-LAVAL A.B. 18 April, 1968 [9 May, 1967], No. 18477/68. Heading A1M. A teat cup comprises a stainless steel cylindrical sleeve 1 and an end cap 2 made of a different material, preferably a synthetic plastics material, having a hole 3 to receive a teat cup liner, and a nipple 4 for connection to a pulsator. The sleeve is provided with one or more recesses 5 and the cap with one or more flanges 6 for snapfitting engagement in the recess or recesses. A shoulder 7 loaded axially by the tension of the end cap material ensures good sealing engagement. In a modification the cap is arranged aside the sleeve. Alternatively sealing may be obtained by press-fitting.
