Abstract

1,197,747. Milking machine inflation. L. A. BERKAHN. 9 July, 1968 [18 July, 1967], No. 33043/67. Heading A1M. A milking machine inflation has a protruding mouth 3, reversible inwardly to grip a teat on insertion. Air admitted through a hole 5 prevents the inflation from creeping up towards the base of the teat during milking. In an alternative construction, Fig. 4 (not shown), the lower end of the inflation is atached to the shell 6 by clamping between a nut 9 and a spigot 7, the ring 8 of Fig. 3 being omitted. Also, the inflation may be moulded of uniform thickness, its outer end 2 being provided with a stiffening ring. (For Figure see next page.)
