Abstract

1,208,095. Knitting machines. ELITEXZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 12 May, 1969 [15 June, 1968], No. 24017/69. Heading D1C. [Also in Divisions G3 and H1] A circular knitting machine of the one or two cylinder type is driven by an electric motor 25 through an electromagnetic coupling 24 whose slip is controlled by a voltage regulator 23. A tachometer generator 26 is driven by the machine and provides a control signal to the voltage regulator. A programming device for predetermining the speed of the machine comprises resistors 17-20 connected to the regulator 23 and associated with switches 21, 22, which are actuated by the main patterning drum. The voltage applied to the resistors 17-20 is controlled by a potentiometer 1 which may be hand-operated to allow for speed control independently of the programming device.
