Abstract

1,140,921. Knitting-machines. WILDMANJACQUARD CO. 28 April. 1967 [2 May, 19661. No. 19829/67. Heading D1C. In a circular knitting machine an electric driving motor which provides high, low and inching speeds has controls by which these speeds can be varied. The machine is started at low speed by a push button 21 and when the button is released carries on at high speed. It can however be retained in low speed by appropriate operation of switches 34, 35. An inching button 22 and stop button 23 are also provided. High, low and inching speeds can be varied by potentiometers 56, 53 and 50 respectively the arrangement being such that only the appropriate potentiometer is operative at any one time. A tachometer 61 is provided to dive a direct reading of motor speed.
