Abstract

1,208,023. Roof covering. BRAAS & CO. G.m.b.H. 27 Oct., 1967 [27 Oct., 1966], No. 48905/67. Heading E1W. A composite roofing sheet 25 having an upper impervious layer, and progressing downwardly, an insulating layer and a layer serving as a damp excluder, has ventilating grooves 28 in the layer which is to abut the roof, the individual sheets being secured to the roof to extend from ridge to eaves without the use of adhesives, adjacent sheets being connected by means overlapping their edges, such as a ridge cap 39 or capping strip 42. The ridge cap 36 and capping strip 42 are designed to resiliently engage inverted T-section bars 26, 27 respectively, secured to the roof. The sheets have turned up edge portions 31, 35 adjacent the inverted stems of the T-bars. Pins may be passed through the portions 31 into the bars 26 to prevent the sheets from sliding towards the eaves. At the eaves a tongue 45 of the sheet enters a gutter 45.
