Abstract

1,207,021. Reactors. ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. 13 Feb., 1968 [14 Feb., 1967], No. 7026/68. Heading G6C. In a boiling light water reactor, the steam treating system is mounted above the moderator tank, by means of a detachable coupling, so as to thrust the lid of the moderator tank into engagement with the tank wall. The moderator tank 2, and the steam treating unit 4 are mounted within the outer vessel 1 of the reactor. The unit 4 is formed of the separator 18 and dryer 19 and is coupled to the shield 5, by the flange 6. Unit 4 bears downwards upon the lid 3 of tank 2. The shield 5 and unit 4 are connected by the coupling 8 operated by the bolt 10 turned by the tool 11. The shield is fixed to the tank by plates 7 and the downward thrust from 4 is transmitted to lid 3 by the rods 12.
