Abstract

1,203,820. Ploughs. WISSENSCHAFTLICH-TECHNISCHES ZENTRUM FUR LANDTECHNIK SCHLIEBEN. 24 Dec., 1968, No. 61363/68 Heading A1B. A plough comprises a beam 1 having a plurality of support plates (3) Fig. 2 (not shown) mounted on the beam, each support having a share 4, a soil turning breast 7, a cutting blade 5 and a scraper 8, the arrangement being such that in operations half the width 12 of a strip of soil between adjacent support plates is cut, lifted by a share blade 4 and turned by a turning breast 7 into the area of the other half of the width of said strip which is cut, lifted by a cutting blade 5 and displaced by a scraper 8 into the area of the half lifted by the share blade 4. The cutting blades 5 are secured at an angle of 10-40 degrees to the direction of travel and the scraper is curved and is regularly adjustable relative to the direction of travel and its spacing from the cutting blade. Vertical cutting is assisted by disc-shaped coulters 11. Suspension means 2 connects the plough to the tractor.
