Abstract

1,023,396. Harrows. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Nov. 13, 1964 [Nov. 21, 1963], No. 46422/64. Heading A1B. A harrow of the kind comprising a frame 15 and tines 33 attached to the frame through portions 35 extending in the direction of travel of the implement is characterized in that the tines are made of resilient material and means are provided extending transverse to the direction of travel of the machine to oppose lateral deflections of the tine portions. As shown lateral portions 37 are rotatably mounted on the frame 15 by means of plates 39 and a curved portion 41 is adjustably held in a sector 43 to vary the working pressure of the tines on the ground. In a modification (not shown) the tines are held by laterally extending elements. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 975,818.
