A ploughing apparatus A has a plurality of ploughing units a, a<SP>1</SP> a<SP>11</SP> connected in a straight line transverse to the direction of motion of the plough. Each ploughing unit consists of a share blade 1 for cutting the furrow, a mould board 2 for inverting the furrow slice and a landside 3 to give directivity to the blade member. Each unit a is held on a support c which is flexibly attached to a frame 4 so that it may adjust itself to different load conditions. The units are spaced a furrow width apart, this width being more than the furrow depth, and the supporting members c are provided at the position where, in use, the mould boards 2 have turned the furrow slices through 90. degrees. The guide member may have an associated roller or disc. The whole apparatus is attached for towing to a tractor.
