Abstract

1386454 Subsoilers PARKIN ENG Ltd 8 Dec 1972 56754/72 Heading A1B To permit lateral deflection of its earth working blades e.g. on encountering a subterranean obstacle, a subsoiler has parallel spaced pivots 11 on a transverse tool frame, to which are attached respective arms 13 having at their free ends channel section carriers 14 holding blades 15. Each carrier 14 is fabricated from a vertical plate 17 and two bars 18 extending along a respective edge and has two holes for alternative location of a bolt 20 which selectively engages one of a series of holes 24 in the shank 21 of the respective blade 15. The tool frame has a pair of bushed tubular journals 10 for two pivots 11 and the pivots pass through linking plates 12 of the arms 13. Chains may be connected between the arms 13 and the tool frame to limit pivotal movement of the blades 15. For attachment to a tractor's three point linkage, the tool frame has two lower pairs of apertured plates 3 and an upper pair of plates 5.
