Abstract

1,202,700. Coil former. PLESSEY CO. Ltd. 20 Dec., 1967 [23 Dec., 1966], No. 57629/66. Heading B8M. A coil former 1 comprises electric terminals in the form of wires 4, 5 pre-embedded in an insulating structure 3 which is attached to the former so that it abuts against an inner surface of a former end cheek 2. The insulating structure 3 preferably comprises two layers of dielectric paper tape or insulating tape, the wires being sandwiched between them. The layers of tape are preferably adhesive on one side to provide adhesion between the layers and between one layer and the former cheek. The insulating structure is preferably H-shaped, the cross-arm having a central hole to fit round the former barrel part and a slit 6 to facilitate positioning of the structure 3.
