A set of parts for the construction of a boat comprises a bow section 10, a stern section 11 and one or more intermediate identical hull sections 12, each intermediate hull section having a constant transverse cross-section throughout its length which is identical with both the cross-section at the rear end of the bow section and the cross-section at the forward end of the stern section. The sections, which are open ended at their abutting ends, are joined together in abutting relationship to form a complete hull.
