Abstract

1,201,756. Yarn winding apparatus. BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 27 Feb., 1969 [2 March, 1968], No. 10598/69. Heading D1J. In a device for winding yarn 1 onto spindles 7 arranged in a plurality of tiers, the spindles are driven by motors the speed of which is controlled by vertically aligned dancer arms, the threads passing from a godet wheel 2 over pins or rollers 3, 4 on the dancer arms to traversing guides 9, and the godet and guides being located below the lowest dancer arm roller 4, so that the yarn loops are in a "rested" arrangement. This is stated to achieve a saving of space over previous arrangements. Several packages may be wound on each spindle, the same number of rollers being provided on the corresponding dancer arm.
