Abstract

120,164. Schelff, A. W. C. March 19, 1918. Reinforced. concrete. -- Reinforcing-bars are provided with longitudinal grooves or flutings and are then twisted. The cross section of the bars is non- triangular and non-circular and a large number of shallow grooves may be adopted. The grooves and intermediate ribs may be of the same curvature as shown, or the radius of the grooves may be larger or smaller than that of the ribs.
