Abstract
1,200,589. Ventilating tunnels. S.I.N.A. SOC. INIZIATIVE NAZIONALI AUTOSTRADALI S.p.A., and M. BRUNI. 17 July, 1969 [26 July, 1968], No. 36042/69. Heading F4V. A ventilator system for a motorway tunnel comprises a plurality of spaced stacks, each having a conduit 2a for forced extraction of stale air from the tunnel section upstream of the stack and a conduit 2b for forced supply of pure air into the tunnel section downstream of the stack. The conduits 2a, 2b each include one or more fans 5a, 5b, respectively. Fans 3 are provided in each tunnel section between two adjacent stacks, and in the end sections of the tunnel.
