A chain saw comprises cutter teeth 10 extending from link portions 10c and raker teeth 4 extending from link portions 13a, the latter link portions being interconnected by links 5 having portions 5b adapted to engage the chain guide bar 1. The portions 5b provided in order to provent rotation of either a cutter or raker tooth about its pivot pin 6. The teeth are staggered as shown in Fig. 4 thereby allowing the chips to pass behind the raker teeth and thereby prevent a build-up. In a modification, a pair of raker teeth (28, Fig. 5) are carried by a single link portion, the teeth facing opposite directions in order that the chain may be reversed.
