Abstract

1,200,100. Building blocks. A. GRAVEL. 3 Nov., 1967 [26 April, 1967], No. 50078/67. Heading EIB. A hollow plastics block 10 is slidably interconnected with adjacent blocks 30 and 40 by a dovetail projection comprising ribs 26a, 28a engaging grooves 22, 24, adhesive being applied to the adjacent end faces 16, 18 which may be flat. The upper faces of the blocks are V-shaped with a ledge therearound on which the lower edges of the side and end faces of the block above rest, the blocks having no bottom wall. Blocks may be transparent. In other embodiments the blocks may be made of concrete, clay, metal or glass. Angle and corner blocks having projections at two angular directions are provided, and blocks having recesses at each end for connecting these blocks to blocks 10.
