Roof elements for use in construction kits of the type in which the structural elements are connected by projections and recesses formed in the elements. One type of element has on its upper side an inclined face 20 forming part of the roof, and a horizontal surface 14 having disposed on its projections for engagement with other elements. Vertical walls 70 extend upwardly from the horizontal face for a height substantially equal to that of the projection, the upper edge of the vertical wall being parallel with the horizontal face and forming the upper edge of the inclined face. The other type of element has on its upper side only inclined surfaces for forming part of the roof, the vertical side faces of these elements at their points of lowermost intersection with the inclined faces being the same as the height of the vertical wall of the other elements.
