Compounds of the general Formula (I): (A = phenyl, halophenyl, pyridyl; R, R<SP>1</SP> = halogen, CF 3 , NO 2 ; R<SP>2</SP> = C 1-7 alkyl, C 2-7 alkenyl; R<SP>3</SP> = C 1-7 alkyl; broken lines denote optional substituents) are prepared by treating a compound of the Formula (II): (X = arylsulphonyl, C 1-7 alkanesulphonyl) with a base or a compound (II) (X = C 1-7 alkanoyl) with an alkali metal C 1-7 alkoxide or hydride in the presence of an inert organic solvent.
