1,199,784. Co-Ni-Al-Fe alloys. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Oct. 20, 1967 [Oct.20, 1966], No. 47786/67. Heading C7A. [Also in Division B3] An alloy which is continuously cast as bar having axial crystal orientation for use in the manufacture of permanent magnets (see Division B3) consists, by weight, of Co 15-42% Ni 10-20% Al 6-10% Cu 0-8% Nb 0-4%}entirely or partially Ta 0-8%}replaceable by Ti Si not more than 0À15% Fe balance. The bar is made magnetically anisotropic by heating in a magnetic field and subsequently cut into pieces and finally magnetized. Specification 1, 057, 904 is referred to.
