Abstract

1,199,440. Separating gas from gas segmentized liquid and prior to clorination analysis, CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED. 6 Oct., 1967 [13 Oct., 1966], No. 45612/ 67. Headings B1M and B1X. Separation of insoluble bubbles of an inert gas forced into a stream of reacting liquid is effected after completion of the reaction by passing the liquid through a capillary tube through which the inert gas diffuses. The liquid may be undergoing a colorimetric reaction for colorimetric analysis after eluation from an ion exchange chromatographic separation column. The capillary tube may be made of polytetrafluoroethylene and may be joined to a glass or stainless steel reaction capillary tube impervious to the gas through which tube the reacting liquid first passes. Both tubes may be immersed in boiling water or oil. The inert gas may be helium or hydrogen.
