1,199,041. Phosphoric acid. ISRAEL MINING INDUSTRIES, INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT. 1 Aug., 1967 [2 Aug., 1966], No. 32387/67. Addition to 1,112,033. Heading C1A. Improvements to the process of the parent Specification (1,112,033) in which purified H 3 PO 4 is recovered from technical grade H 3 PO 4 comprise first the incorporation of 0À1 to 5% by weight of H 2 SO 4 in the technical grade H 3 PO 4 before extraction, and, secondly, the addition of 30 to 100% by weight of H 2 SO 4 to the residual technical grade acid prior to a further extraction with organic solvent as defined in the parent Specification The mixture of purified H 3 PO 4 and H 2 SO 4 may be obtained from the second solvent extract by heating the extract to a temperature higher than that at which the extraction is effected (as in the parent Specification). The solvent may be diethyl, di-iso-propyl, di-nbutyl, iso-propyl-n-butyl, di-n-amyl, or di-isoamyl ether.
