Abstract

1,199,026. Removing dust from textile machines. ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 23 Oct., 1967 [20 Feb., 1967], No. 48056/67. Heading F4X. Dust is removed from a weaving loom by a suction nozzle arrangement mounted above the path of movement of the reed 10 and adjacent the heddles 5. The arrangement, which is affixed by holders 2 to the loom frame 3, comprises a nozzle body 1 of inverted U or J cross-section having a front wall 6 and a rear wall A joined by an inlet grid 7. A manifold 8 situated at the side of the loom connects the nozzle body with a fan 9. In operation the oscillatory motion of the reed 10 produces an air current which augments the suction effect created by the fan and causes the entrained dust present to be sucked into the nozzle through the grid 7 along the direction A. One or more openings 11 are provided in the rear wall 4 to remove dust from the region of the heddles 5.
