Abstract

1,198,919. Suspending curtains. SWISH PRODUCTS Ltd. 3 March, 1969 [30 March, 1968], No. 15435/68. Heading A4B. A curtain suspension comprises a rail 11 with an upwardly open, lipped, longitudinal recess 13, a plurality of mounting brackets 15 each with a tongue 19 engaged in the recess 13 to support the rail 11, and an auxiliary device 24, which may be a pulley block for guiding draw cords or a valance rail support, the device 24 having an extension 31 which extends across the rail 11 and terminates in spaced tongues 34 which engage apertures 36 in a bracket 15 and including headed projections 37 which are a snap fit in the recess 13. As shown, pulleys 21, 22 are mounted for rotation about a vertical axis. At a rail end the auxiliary device carries reversing pulleys (41, 42-Fig. 4) rotatable about an horizontal axis.
