Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A safety valve device for interrupting gas flow to a burner when combustion ceases, comprises a thermostatic flame switch in combination with an electromagnet 3 which upon energization by flame extinction moves a rod 4 to rock a lever 5 and release a lever 7 to allow a valve 8 to be closed by a spring 11 and at the time open a switch 9 to de-energize the electromagnet, the re-lighting of the flame being facilitated by opening a switch 14 and opening the gas valve. A warning light 13 goes out when the flame is alight. The electrical parts of the device are housed in a hermetically sealed container 2. The device can operate with several burners, Fig. 3 (not shown).
