Abstract

1,198,309. Bearings. SVENSKA KULLAGERFABRIKEN A.B. 15 Dec., 1967 [17 Dec., 1966], No. 57124/67. Heading F2A. A rolling bearing cage comprises axial webs 3 to space rolling elements, each web being connected at respective ends to respective adjacent webs by ring segments 5, the ring segments having or constituting radially outwardly extending projections 6. The projections 6 locate the cage in outer race 10. The radius of curvature of the outer surface of projections 6 is less than that of the raceway 7 to facilitate formation .of a lubricant film between these parts. In Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) ring segments are formed by radial and axial flanges 17, 18.
