Abstract
1,198,105. Sorting gates. D. C. R. TOWNSHEND and A. A. COX. 22 Sept., 1967, No. 43239/67. Heading E1B. A sorting gate for sheep comprises a triangular tubular metal framework defining three openings, a first gate member 11 pivoted at one of its edges to one of the corners 4 and movable between opposite sides of the framework, and a second 'gate member 12 pivoted to the opposite edge of the member 11 and movable between a position where it lies flush with the first gate member, and is movable therewith, and a position (shown in Fig. 2) where it closes the third side of the framework. The first gate member is moved by handle 9 and fixed at either side by forked arm latch member 20 engaging the upper members 3 of the tubular framework, and the second member is moved by arm 14 and latched by a pin 17 engaging lugs 18 and 19.
