A saw blade comprises heat formed teeth in which the face surface, back surface, or both these surfaces have enlargements 3, 7 from the tooth point to the tooth base extending outwardly from both sides of the plane of the saw blade. The teeth may be on a band, circular, frame or other saw blade and have a total width up to three times the thickness of the blade. The tooth point cutting edge may be straight, V-shaped, rounded or concave.
