Abstract
1,196,731. Nitroguanidine. MINISTER OF TECHNOLOGY. 17 July, 1951 [27 July, 1950], No. 18836/50. Heading C2C. High bulk-density nitroguanidine is obtained by coating a heat weak aqueous solution of nitroguanidine containing the nitroguanyl hydrazone of benzaldehyde and a small amount of a cationic surface-active agent such as cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide or cetyl pyridinium bromide. After separating the solid, more nitroguanidine may be added to the liquid and the process repeated.
