Abstract

1,196,365. Welding by fusion. INSTITUT ELEKTROSVARKI IMENI E.O. PATONA. 11 April, 1968 [11 April, 1967], No. 17520/68. Heading B3R. A welding wire has a ductile metal casing and a flux core containing metal in the form of rounded alloy grains of identical composition ranging in size from 0.002 to 0.2 of the wire diameter. The casing may be of Fe, Ni, Cu or Co. The alloy grains may include Cr, Ni, W, Si, A1. The flux may comprise slag and gas formers.
