Abstract

1,195,793. Endless conveyers. DOWTY-MECO Ltd. 20 May, 1969 [25 May, 1968], No. 25091/68. Heading B8A. Conveyer framework stringers 13 are each mounted on a stool 14 by means of an angle bracket 17 welded to the stringer and secured by a pin 23 to a length of square-section tube 20 welded to the upper end of the stool. A kink 24 in the bracket 17 provides a locating formation in the assembly. The bracket (17) may be riveted to the stringer, Fig. 3 (not shown), the rivet heads then providing the location. In a further modification, Fig. 5, the tube 20 is replaced by a length of upwardly facing channel section 21 which is sufficiently long to accommodate the ends of two stringers. Nuts and bolts or other means may be used in place of the pins 23.
