Abstract

1,086,209. Conveyer frames. GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE A.G. April 28, 1966 [May 3, 1965], No. 18603/66. Heading B8A. [Also in Division E2] Stringer sections 1, 1<SP>1</SP> of a belt conveyer frame are releasably connected by bolts 12, 12<SP>1</SP> mounted in flanges 9, 9<SP>1</SP>. A flange is secured to each end of a stringer section and has an aperture enlarged at one end 10<SP>1</SP> to receive the bolt head of the adjacent flange. By rotating the sections 1, I<SP>1</SP> about their common longitudinal axis relatively to each other, the bolts move into a constricted part of the aperture portions 10<SP>1</SP> so that each head interlocks with the adjacent flange 9<SP>1</SP> when the stringer sections are aligned. The upper portion of the apertures (10) receive chains (13) for suspending the conveyer, Figs. 1, 2 (not shown). Pockets (7) on the inside of each stringer section receive brackets (2) for belt-supporting pulleys (3). The frame may be supported by posts (14), Figs. 3, 4, 7, 9 (not shown), each post having two flanges (16) and two bolts, so that a post can be incorporated between two stringer sections. The upper portion of the aperture 19 may be dispensed with, Fig. 10 (not shown), or a separate aperture (17), Fig. 11 (not shown), for the chain (13) may be provided. In Fig. 12 (not shown), the flange has an open-ended aperture (19) to enable the bolt head to be inserted transversely to the longitudinal axis of the stringer section.
