Abstract

1,195,494. Casting tunnels linings, conduits. C. I. WILLIAMS. 8 Oct., 1968 [13 Oct., 1967], No.47731/68. Headings E1F and E1S. A concrete tunnel lining or spillway conduit is cast in two sections with the lower section, as shown, formed initially, and having a central portion forming the inner surface of the completed lining, and extrusions 16 and, 17, and an upper section cast between inner and outer forms, as shown, which are located by anchors 26-29 cast into the lower section. The inner formwork 38 may toe supported on a carriage 42 having wheels 43, 44, as shown, or slides, and c'om'prises two elements hinged together at the top, and braced from. the carriage by a screw jack or turnbuckle 46.
