1,192,081. Chain slings. LIFTING GEAR PRODUCTS (ENG.) Ltd. 7 March, 1968 [14 March, 1967], No. 11923/67. Heading B8H. [Also in Division F2] In a shackle or hook assembly for a chain sling, a load pin 16 is shorter than the overall width of a forked end of a shackle or hook through which it extends and it is retained in position by pins 20 engaging circumferential grooves in the load pin 16 tangentially. Each retaining pin 20 may be a tight fit in a hole in the fork or in the load pin or in both.
