Abstract
1,191,719. Photo-electric circuits. TECHNICON CORP. Oct. 31, 1967 [Nov. 18, 1966], No.49432/67. Heading G1A. The voltage across a logarithmic diode in series with a photo-resistor is linearly-related to the logorithm of the intensity of light illuminating the photo-resistor. If the voltage of a D.C. supply to the diode and photo-resistor is always much greater than the diode voltage, the logarithm of two intensities is directly proportional to the difference in respective diode voltages. Two intensities may be compared directly by a wheatstone bridge formed from two diodes and two photo-resistors.
